Yes, unfortunately.
That one is pretty bad overall, but a big clue for me is the breast feather not poking over the shield. compare it side by side with a real one if you can.

Start with the size of the date:

Also the feathers on the eagle and the leaves don’t have veins

It gets worse the more I look at it. The shield is awfully done, the size of the JM, plus what others have mentioned.
If you bought it, throw it on a scales, let us know. Hopefully you didn't.

It looks like a Real fake
Fake! I think? Or would this be a fantasy coin? Can you counterfeit a coin that doesn’t exist? 🤫
Probably magnet sticks since its not silver, would throw that fake on a Sigma for kicks. Not even a good fake, they at least come close in weight?
Definitely a fake... and not because of the mint mark on the reverse... that is standard. Cheers, RickO
What if this coin were actual .999 silver? Would it still be considered a fake or a fantasy piece?
A counterfeit of a fantasy coin?
Is it still considered a counterfeit?
still fake
Yes... unless made by the mint, it is fake.... and if a copy of a fantasy piece, it is still fake...If silver, it will have melt value. Cheers, RickO
It is a COUNTERFEIT! Period!
Even if the overstruck coin was the US mint product?
