Do any of you know about the structure of the eight regarding
the small 2.

Any thoughts ?

Normal cent. Worth one cent.

True.
But thing to think about is,
Who needs a starter set missing only one coin ?
Who needs a starter set with a damaged 1982 cent?

Correct.
Lets just say, or better yet ask , "whats your budget" that should control that statement.
Just a thought!
Are you considering these cents for an album? If so, really any condition coin can fill the hole...and then, when a better one comes along, it gets replaced. Cheers, RickO
Hey ricko,
I have many, many...82s.
With a good balance between varieties . Sets ?
As I see it the only problem is matching the set.
Thanks.
OP - are you thinking that 3.1g (i,e, copper) coins are rare for 1982? In fact, the cutover to 2.5g copper-plated zinc was during the year and both are quite common.

Still on the hunt for that definite D 3.1.
How about you?
!982 D (small date) 3.1
All out of the same roll ....
Yup.
For some reason they seem more prevalent in my area.
Go figure?
Even in pocket change.
