I was thinking the same thing before I saw your post. I was cringing when I saw the picture, if it is a good error the skin oil will take care of that in a year or so...

The area below the date appears to be a cracked die...Nothing much in the picture of 'trust', perhaps some die erosion. Cheers, RickO
