I acquired this Bust Half a few months ago and when I recieved it in hand I noticed 3 problem areas around the rim. At 1st glance they looked like rim bumps. But having taken another look rescently and researching a little more I'm thinking they are actually rim "cuds". What do you guys think? Hopefully the pics are good enough to be able to determine? Thanks guys!
Ps... also would this be the "GR 3" variety?

When examined in hand, does it look as if the rim is 'folded in'? If so, it is a rim bump.... hard to tell from the pictures...If rim bumps, they evidently did not bother the graders enough to call them. Cheers, RickO
They look like rim bumps to me, and are a distraction. Unfortunate, as I otherwise like the coin. Note that I'm not an expert on this series and am going off of photos.
Not cuds. None in the series.
Lance.
Yes I've seen similar cuds on PCGS photograde when I was trying to compare. And looking at "cuds on coins" website, they show other coins with similar "cuds". Its hard to show while it's in the slab and I'm guessing it explains why it didn't get a details grade. I'm gonna dig a little deeper and see what I can find.
Edit....
My apologies it wasn't photograde. I thought I saw one when I was comparing varieties, not grades. Also I guess if theres no documentation of cuds being on any of the reeded edge busts then I guess they're rum bumps. I'm gonna keep digging tho.
