SD Bullion 20 1oz Rounds on special again

I've purchased these many times. Had my LCS verify they are all legit. With Ebay collecting tax now, they are less expensive for me if I pay by check via their website.

Currently $365.08 a tube, 5 tubes max.

I'm sure they are legit, but isn't eBay's tax the same across the board - regardless of whether it's a generic round or a government bullion piece? Expensive is a relative term once you also consider the premium or lack of a premium.

How much of a hit do generic rounds take when sold back into the market compared to the hit that government bullion takes? In other words, how do the buy/sell spreads compare (on a percentage basis)?

I suspect that they both vary, depending on market conditions at the time of sale.

In my case, the LCS I deal with has been consistent. The premium they currently charge between the two is the same between their buying offer. Years ago there was a larger spread than today. That is why I prefer generics from known dealers and producers. Anytime a known seller runs a ASE special I try to take advantage of it.

At ~$.50/per ounce over spot price, I wouldn't necessarily say this is a great deal. It's not bad but it doesn't warrant rushing out to grab this deal for generic rounds.

Does not compute. Sdbullion, just like ebay, will also charge you a sales tax, if you live in a State that has a tax on coins or bullion.

It includes shipping and payment by CC on eBay. On their website it is possible to pay less if you buy bulk quantity and pay by ACH. In my area 50c over is rare to find. I will check on 2/12 at my usual LCS to see if they are less.
