Well.....first I thought it was a PO01 Wheatie laying there with the pocket change.....but it’s an unstruck planchet! Someone apparently scraped down to the zinc once “trying to figure it out”. Never found one in the wild....

Interesting find.... I have one (maybe two) unstruck copper planchets that I have saved for years....found in change. Have not found a zinc one yet....Cheers, RickO
I have found about half a dozen blank cents and one blank dime planchet in roll searches or circulation over the past 15 years.
I like that someone scratched it to try to figure out what it was. IMO it makes this one more interesting.
I assume that being 'silver' in the center to them meant it was just a slug so they sent it on, perhaps to a coinstar or back to the bank with a bunch of other change jar coins.
