I never have any coins to add to the forum but visit everyday to live vicariously through the beautiful coins posted. So here’s my tiny contribution. I’ll post one a day unless interest fizzles.

Wrong forum. There are many forums for Casino tokens.

I see posts about tokens in this forum now and then. I don't see why this one is any different.
These were used in casinos in the 1850's gold rush times.

The detail on the first token of the Gemini capsule is really impressive.
Agree. I like that one a lot and have never seen one before.
Much thanks to @2dueces for posting it!
I don't mind a dedicated thread for these. I have one or two. Some people have huge collections. They can be had for a bit above spot. If you know what you are doing you could cherry pick the ones that command a premium.
I do have a collection of Casino Poker chips....most with silver centers. Will post a picture later when my email system gets fixed... on the fritz - phone and computer... Cheers, RickO
I like that gemini token as well
Seems like there are 9 tokens in the Space Series:

Looks like a fun collection to put together!
I must have gotten at least 10 queries a week or so for "SILVER STRIKES"
I had a guy who took all of them. It was hard not to kiss him.
I must have at least 100 of them that I collected back in the days when tokens were still used in slot machines.... I once filled a Whitman folder (1st pic) and then "threw" the rest of them in a box "somewhere"... I do have a few I really like. (2nd pic) e.g. Like those that came from the Balinese Room in Galveston Texas. I actually got to walk thru it a few times before it was destroyed in 2008 by hurricane Ike.

I wonder how many of these are out there? I found it personally, early 2003 in Baghdad. It was laying in the dirt on the grounds of a bombed out amusement park on the Tigris River. I was happy to liberate it.

Wow! I’ve never seen one before and that has a great personal story!
I got this one from Imperial Palace on the gulf coast just before hurricane Katrina came through.

The first thing i noticed as well. I saved it to show my friends who's got a token collection. Amazing job on the details. J
Money won is twice as sweet as money earned.
Nice!
Here are a couple from my collection..... Cheers, RickO
Not this one. The Barber design wasn't introduced until 1892.

Yes, absolutely!! Gambling in Baghdad? No doubt, one of Saddam Hussein's corrupt underground vice's!
