I have a complete type set of the early commemoratives. The only pieces that have increased in price since I bought them are the two Pan-PAC $50 gold pieces. The rest are all losers.
Those two gold pieces are “trophy coins” that high income people like to show off. That is only reason why they have gone up in value. Everything else is “hide bound” unless it has “killer toning,” which is another form of “trophy coin.”

IMO only the chart looks like it needs a good spike down which would be a great place to start a new business venture for someone most likely not me.
