So this has a mintage of 15,00 and it is the first gold Kook produced
do you think these are good investments?

15,000 mintage. Not super high but it depends on demand.
About $100 premium over spot not horrible but not great.
How many do you plan on buying to make this an “investment?”
Seeing your coin purchases as an investment is always a gamble.
$183 at APMEX over $250 on eBay.
i picked up 5, i figure 15,000 1/10th oz = 1,500 ounces, so 5 will hold me for now.
Once i get them in hand, i will decide if i want to grade them
The silver kooks are very popular, I'd think the gold would carry over nicely.
I have a couple of their kangaroos, they are nicely done.
i own a full set of silver kooks and have been very happy with how prices have gone up on those but , perth makes a lot of weird shit and I don't know.
I bought the first 2 ounce koala a few years back and I think they didn't make any more . They abandon things at times
Edit...
I will stick to AGE's....and for the most part, I like the big ones... I stack gold for liquidity in time of need... and AGE's are, at least in the U.S., the best for this purpose. Cheers, RickO
not an investment vehicle unless you think gold will hit 2500/oz and will sell it then.
is an enjoyment vehicle.
I also have a full run of Silver Kooks but these don't move me.
Loves me some shiny!
there is an australian coin forum , i dont have it bookmarked here on my phone but i can link it later. They are experts in all manner of kook koala lunar series etc.
A very good resource
Its a pretty coin, looks better in hand, happier with it after seeing in person. Easy pickup still at close to spot.
