I don't reply to all threads only the ones that I feel I can add info to. Also I reply to threads that members put out about their new coins because I know I like it when members reply to mine. And then there is this reply to reply why I reply.

Just a little info on Copyright infractions. I.e. stealing, copying, lifting, downloading or whatever you call it, is a serious issue and can cost the offender considerable $$$. the copyright to a product is usually owned by the Creator, not by the owner of the equipment used to create or by the distributor of the subject.
There are acceptable and recognized exceptions. this is very often for educational purposes.
But re-posting without permission is not one. even when you credit the source.
it is easier and much safer to ask for permission than for forgiveness when it concerns copyright issues.
such permission is usually granted unless the intended use is for commercial purposes.
I posted a pictures that was posted to this forum already, so permission has been given for use on this forum. One other is one that is advertised for sale, so I don't worry about anything I posted.
Also I did request in a post that I was interested in obtaining the coin itself if possible, and to let me know if there is a problem.
I don't fret over this but I will (did) delete the ONE that you worry about, some are coins I own and pictures I took and I give my permission for me to post them.

What else are we supposed to do while waiting for our orders to be processed. It takes like a month and now there is a message saying it could take longer. Anyway, I only look at the first 15 or 20 thread titles when I do come here, and then only open one or two that may spark my interest. I actually have to work for a living But, I love the comedy relief when possible.

Hey Tim,
Relax Tim, Perry is just commenting like I would have, no offence no problems - no one got hurt I tell ye, we all hope this won't go poof, and frankly I see NO reason for it to go poof.
It is a solid thread, and you did good as the OP.
I myself had no clue about the leader or points/counts or whatever that is. Not that it makes a diff to me or ever will.
I'm here a long time, I post when I can, and go MIA for months in past, over the years.
I enjoy the many threads, great topics, and the casual rare (used to be often) banter.
Cheers!

I submitted an order online this past Friday and a message appears saying something like: Due to the amount of orders being processed your order may take longer, yada yada yada. I just figured it has to do with the new coin quest going on. By the way, is there a thread on that topic somewhere?

Stars are given for various reasons and I'm 100% certain it is not always an indication of numismatic knowledge. As for the number of posts...it is a good indication that the poster is either very isolated, is retired, does not have a real life, or has few friends.
Often, several of these reasons may apply.

Nope: You are correct. Badges earn points. Even the anniversary cake badge.
For badges and points see the link at the bottom of my post.
I believe you get one point for every "Agree", one point for every "Like". I am unsure if the "Promote" works the same way. WHEN we had the controversial "Disagree" option you would LOSE one point for every "Disagree" that you received. To the points mentioned above, you then add the cumulative values of the badges listed you have using the like below and you will get close to the total points you have. IT WILL NOT BE EXACT as the points lost for the "Disagrees" that someone had are gone, but were still counted (deducted) from your points total at the time the "Disagree" was in effect.
I'm sure I missed something, but I hope this clears up some of the point system.

Would there be as many posts if there were no "rewards" i.e. Post count numbers totals, badges, stars, etc?

Probably, because points, badges, emojis, etc. don't matter to "coinheads."
I don’t believe you get points for LOLs.

I believe you are correct for the LOLs. You only get points for the LOL Badges, but not the individual LOLs.
@Downtown1974 I edit it out of my previous post.
Thanks, Donato

Scroll up, time stamp on the last message was about: January 27, 2020 11:20AM in this thread; but may have been something somewhere else.
I saw that, and I got curious and looked it up, I have no explanation, it happened years ago, maybe limited on where they can post. I'm not worried about it...not my job...thanks.

I think it might have been due to comments on the Kobe Bryant thread...
