Does anyone know or have an idea if the 1958 D "Goiter" will or will ever be recognized as more than just an interesting topic of discussion to Franklin half collectors?
Found this in my " Forgot About Box" and was wondering if it's worth keeping or not.
??MS63/64??

That is a nice specimen.... I would certainly keep it...Not listed in the CPG - yet - but could be in the next edition (mine is Fifth Edition, Volume II). Cheers, RickO
I actually remember you posting this coin when you first found it. I have the 1959 in my showcase set and have been searching for its brother since your original post. If you send in a batch of coins to get graded my suggestions is to get the coin graded without variety.
Than when they add the coin to the CPG you can sell it without the variety but already graded. Otherwise just throw it up on the BST with a price and see what others are willing to pay for a raw coin. My guess is this coin will be in the Next CPG.
Good Luck.
I used to be famous now I just collect coins.

Varieties Are The Spice Of LIFE and Thanks to Those who teach us what to search For.
Since it can be seen without a magnifying glass and is on the obverse it probably has potential to be listed. I would keep it.
That may be the nicest of the variety I have ever seen.
