Jan. 31–Feb. 1, 2020 (Fri.–Sat.) Smoky Mountain–Ft. Loudon Coin Show. Rothchild Catering, 8807 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923. Bourse Fri. 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.–4 p.m. About 50 tables, nice regional show with far more high-quality material than you might expect. Show report please.... these size local shows are fun... used to go to local shows like this when I lived in the PNW...often found some nice material....and prices as well. Cheers, RickO
Agreed. A lot of the dedicated numismatists/stackers/collectors take the day off on Friday, otherwise they show up early on Saturday. Like many 2-day shows, it's all over by early afternoon on Saturday and many dealers have to pack up and hit the road for long drives, sometimes of several hours. I am lucky in that I am only two hours away from this one, but the Princess still likes me to get home before dark.

Im going and bringing a friend. Ill be looking forward to spending the morning looking at coins. Going to meet up with Tibor and George. John Frost of the BCCS will be there giving presentations both days. I plan to attend his presentation on Saturday due to work obligations(dang boss!) I should be able to fill a few holes in my albums and maybe a few registry slots, who knows!
I’ll be there Saturday.
Going to try to sell my 1954-5 box proofs and pick up either a little gold or a couple of Morgans. It is a great show. I’ve been going off and on since the 1980s.
