2009-S 50C Proof Clashed Obverse?

A few years ago, I found this half dollar in a box while coin roll hunting. Is it a clashed die? Is it worth sending in to PCGS? I’ve heard of clashed dies, but not on proofs. I’ve always thought this was a very unique coin, if indeed a clashed die. Thanks.

Is the capsule dirty/scratched?
No, that is the coin. It is impaired because it was in circulation.
That’s clearly on the coin from my view. Perhaps taking it out of the holder would help others. Certainly looks like a clash of sorts. I’m not familiar with this series but I would guess a clash on a proof would add a premium. Check MAD’s listing. I’m curious to see what other say.
It does look like it’s got the reverse on the obverse.
Maybe someone can do an overlay to verify that someone just didn’t put another Kennedy reverse on the obverse and smacked the two together.

Rough estimate to get an error attribution for one coin:
Error attribution fee is $65, add $10 (Coin Fee), add $22 (Shipping/Insurance), add $5 (GS or TV, if wanted), and add your postage/insurance to mail it in...

Not worth slabbing. Value (my opinion) is 50 cents.
Tips for next time you post pics.
Take the coin out of the holder.
Crop the image. Looking at the extra background doesn't help
This will make it much easier for members to evaluate
That definitely appears to be a die clash to me! There are several dates and denominations of proof coins with clashed dies, though I haven’t seen a 2009 proof Kennedy before.
Great find and good eye!
Take the coin out of the holder, clearer pictures.
Coins in holders can't be seen clearly

Take the coin out of the capsule and take some good pics... it will greatly help evaluate the coin.
@noenhancedproof ....Welcome aboard....It does appear to be a clash.... though, as stated above, photo's out of the capsule, straight on, cropped, would help us make a conclusive determination. Cheers, RickO
Looks like a nice clash for a proof,
but I don't think it's worth submission
fees for a slightly circulated proof like
this.
That is a heck of a die clash. I would have pulled that one out even as a circulation strike.
See if acetone will get the gunk off the surfaces.

Thanks for the opinions. If I sent this into PCGS would it get the discovery coin label?
