Jason Garrett has a new job

@DIMEMAN’s favorite coach just landed a new job, offense coach for the New York Giants. Nothing like hiring a guy for a slot where he has failed in the past. As an Eagle’s fan it’s good to know that the Giants are actively working to remain mediocre at best.

I can't wait to see the Giants play the Cowboys, he's gonna take his anger out on that Cowboys defense. It's going to be hell, fire, and brimstone. He's going to be like Chuck Norris. I'm already licking my chops in anticipation of watching Chuck Garrett kick some a..

It's amazing how some coaches can be a total loser and get fired. But he can always get a new job somewhere else. Weren't these people hiring paying any attention at all!!!

I think the Giants also hired Garrett with the intention of using him to help coach-up the QB Jones.

I'll also predict the Giants to have a 16-2 season next year, and average 38 points a game, just because of this BRILLIANT move on the part of New York's fighting football Giants.

Based on what he did with the Dallas quarterback, I think you are on shaky ground. ;)

Well, we shall see if Prescott improves or regresses without Garrett. It's not like Romo or Prescott had no success at all.

Garrett it seems is a much better teacher than motivator. So as offensive coordinator he can let the head coach do the motivating while he teaches the QB.

Frankly, this could turn out to be a decent hire for the Giants, not that i'm hoping it succeeds.

Steve.....Garrett wasn't a good QB himself, but I guess he could teach better than he played. I don't think he worked with Prescott as they had a guy for that. Actually Jason didn't do anything at Dallas but stand on the sideline and clap! If the Giants do good next year it won't be because of Garrett.....it will be in spite of Garrett.

Let me add an interesting but pretty much meaningless tidbit.

Listening to sports radio here in the Dallas area, multiple times I heard that Garrett liked to play catch with Dak after practice. The idea being to not have to move your legs to catch the pass, just use your hands. All of Garrett's throws would be right into Dak's hands, but Garrett would most always have to move or adjust a little to make his catches.

    🤔

Danny Dimes has more talent then Dak.

    You are probably right.

I will say though, if Dak can improve his accuracy, I think his play will rocket up super high. I also can say that, under the new coach, you will most likely see a much improved Cowboys team.

Why? Because Dak has ...."it". Every story, anecdote, on the record and off, has told me this. They say that he showed it from the first time he came into the huddle when Romo was injured. The guys want to win with him and for him.

Edit to add: Dak has never missed a game and, afaik, has never missed a practice in his four years. He has a 63% winning percentage. I have followed him closely and have to say, even with the one huge accuracy caveat, he is the real deal. And as for that, I wouldn't be surprised to see it improve. His mechanics from year three to four took a gigantic leap. People close to him said that, with his new throwing motion and foot work, his arm last year was like a new tool he was learning to use as the season progressed more and more. I expect big things from him.
