Antique Mall (little) haul
The sellers mistakenly took the pendant as silver. I believe they mixed up the hall mark which actually means 925% Gold rather then a sterling stamp. My question is can anyone identify the Gemstone in the center? Quartz maybe? There are pretty much diamond chips in side settings. I took my tester to all of them. They all passed with the exception of the gem obviously not being a diamond. The other pin is 10 k as well with a small but great clarity and color diamond. OC does good work and puts out a lot of material for company’s as appreciation gifts for so many years of service. All in all the cost was $15 I do however would like to know if the necklace which was with the pendent has a color of gold? Or if it is silver as well. I have to get a new acid kit. Thxs

Side note if any treasure hunters out there swinging coils would rather use a instrument then there eye for a gem they aren’t sure to be real you can always pick one up from Amazon/eBay for little to nothing. Mine was $12 and works great
The pendent is sterling silver with 10k gold(the yellow parts on the front). I have the exact same pendent. Sorry to break the news.

The stone is likely quartz as you said or a synthetic of some kind

That would make more sense honestly. I believe the pendant is hollow as well. Not breaking news as I’m not in it a whole lot! Thanks
Still a nice pickup for $15. That pin in gold weight can double your money

Nice pickups for $15... add to the pile.... I need to get one of those gem testers....any specific recommendations?? Cheers, RickO
The cheapest one I’d the Diamond Selector II although it can’t tell the difference between diamond and Moissanite

@Kliao....Can that one determine other gems...such as an emerald?? Thanks for the reply...Cheers, RickO
Nope only diamond. I don’t think any one tester can determine more than one gem
