Houston Money Show (In Conroe)

CCGGGCCGGG Posts: 1,267 ✭✭✭✭✭

For those of you in the Houston area, remember the Houston Money Show is coming this Friday and Saturday. (Held in Conroe Tx) It's not nearly as big as it was when it was held in downtown Houston but it's still a nice sized show with 120+ dealers. Big plus for this location is you don't have to deal with downtown Houston traffic and parking. http://www.houstoncoinshow.org/

I was born in Houston back when Truman was still president and the population was about 500k and when a 1950D nickel was the coin to find in change. Great place to work but I moved way out of town when I retired.

    Show report to come.

I'd much rather show in Conroe vs. Houston, lots easier to get around and right off of 45. I used to goto shows down by Westheimer and it was always a PITA with downtown traffic.

I lived & worked in Conroe in 1975-76. I imagine it's a bit bigger now. Houston is a great city.

    Everything is bigger in Texas!

Especially the traffic.... The only place in the US that I've ever been where the traffic is worse than Houston is LA.

The Money Show in Houston was probably 3 or 4 times larger when it was held in Downtown Houston VS the Conroe convention center. But fighting the traffic and parking to go downtown just wasn't worth it. Heck after paying for toll roads, gas, parking and show entry fees, I was so broke, I couldn't pay for the mustard on my hotdogs.
