That is quite the coin Bob....Heck of a stamp...Cheers, RickO
Nice photo !
Do you think you'll get any of yours graded?
I think I'd like to. Right now I have 9 or 10 Camp Davids and the prototype trial strike which I'd really like to get into a holder.
I have a Camp David in with our hosts right now. I'd like to get them all done.
Cheers
Bob
Thanks, Rick. If you look closely at the 2:00 reverse, you'll see where the planchet has begun to split. It is very rare that you come across one like this that didn't split all the way. That's what attracted me to this one.
This is how you usually find them...
Cheers
Bob
@DNADave
I know you and I have been collecting these for around ten years. I remember discussing them on the open forum.
I picked most of mine off eBay for less than $40. Those were the days !
And how!
Knowing how cheap I am I'd be surprised if I paid much more than that myself.
I think around $40 has been the issue price of the new MW designs that were made over the past several years.
@Outhaul....Wow...that is one severe die crack.... Cheers, RickO
Actually, Rick, the counterstrike split the planchet. Quite common with the Pope Peso.
Thanks Bob... I should have realized that.... Cheers, RickO
Nice C/S Bob.
These are fun to collect
I'm still looking for the Truman C/S on an Ike Dollar....... it shouldn't be that hard to find, but I've never been in the right place at the right time
This is the one I own.
