Just like the cents included is Mint sets in 2019, this year it's Nickles.

Thanks @Kudbegud, couple other threads on this in circulation hereabouts.

    So this makes three.

    W-Nickels in three finishes, too.

    Whoa!

    :D:)

I looked but didn't see the other threads. Sorry to those posters.

The set of 3 is good

  • KudbegudKudbegud Posts: 4,735 ✭✭✭✭✭

I'll be sending them in just like cents.

  • HydrantHydrant Posts: 7,773 ✭✭✭✭✭

    I will look for them.

It was news to me, thanks for pointing this out.

Now to learn from mistakes made with the penny, how will the Mint package these?

I'll bet it is exactly the same as last year. But changing procedure to eliminate the damage many saw when they received their sets. February 27th is the release of the regular Proof Set, then add shipping time. The first week of March reports should start being posted.

I may get all three... I do want a W nickel for my W set of U.S. coins... but since there are three this time, I likely will get them. Cheers, RickO

Better handling. I expect the same packaging as I can't see the mint going with any more expensive type.

At least the W Nickels won't be as hard to find as the W Quarters. Does anyone know how many W Cents were minted?

Total W cents would be based on the total of the three sets (unc, proof, and silver sets) for the three W cent finishes. Plus the snafu when the proof cents where able to ordered by themselves (+921 proof cents.) https://www.coinworld.com/news/precious-metals/mint-accidentally-sells-2019-w-cents-individually.html

    Mintages as of 16 Dec:

So, based on 2019 sales there won't be a low mintage W nickel. A silver 5c in the Premium Proof set would be a nice touch...

  • rickoricko Posts: 98,724 ✭✭✭✭✭

I doubt there will be a silver W nickel... but agree with @drei3ree... it would be a nice addition....I have all the W coins so far....including the ASE and the Sacagawea.....I got the W quarter due the generosity of a forum member.. still have not seen one in the wild. Cheers, RickO

Wish they would make a silver half dime for collectors.

Like ricko, just missing the Nickel, I made a spot for it in the back of my Type Set Album so I'm all set.

I had no interest in these, I saw them on eBay for less than $5 each shipped. I bought 2 and sold one for $13.95

All denominations are now covered, and with several varieties. So, unless they come out with a twenty cent piece or a seventy five cent piece (not likely), we have them all....just the multiple types of quarters to be collected if one is building a set. Cheers, RickO
