Very sad to hear that one of the greatest drummers of all time passed away at the too young age of 67. To keep it trading card themed, here's a trading card issued of him.

Very sad news. I love Rush. My favorite song by Rush is "Limelight". Full volume.
I just watched Beyond the lighted stage last night. Great rock band and he was arguably the best drummer ever, So sad. I will play all my Rush Cd's this week in tribute to Mr. Peart.
Was to no less than 9 Rush shows beginning with my first in 1985 during the Power Windows tour through to my last during their 30th Anniversary tour. Neil Peart will be sorely missed.
Thread starter has his named spelled wrong. Just a heads up

Ooops. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm a big Neal Schon fan, so it's a habit to spell it that way.
Love RUSH. Subdivisions is my favorite RUSH song. Saw them at Alpine Valley WI in the 80's. Incredible drummer!!
Been a fan for 30+ years and hated hearing this news. BEST drummer ever and a perfectionist of his craft. Hated when he decided to never play again, but respected it. He will be missed. RIP
one of the best! will be missed and impossible to replace,
Bought my first album Rush 2112 in summer of '76 ...fell in love with the band. Sad news!
I’m missing a few for sure

Photo I took from 1981 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix. This is a bummer. Greatest rock drummer ever. Idolized this guy.
Will dig out others from that show and othersfrom way back then tomorrow.
Absolutely gutted by this. First seem em live when I was 16 years old...1982 Signals tour. Last was 2015 on R40 tour. Rush's music had such an impact on my formative years. My heart is heavy tonight. Thank you and Rest in Peace Neil...
First concert I ever went to, December 3 1982. Love Rush 1974-1982. After that not as much, but I still respect everything they ever did.
I’m glad I made it to the R40 tour. It was really cool and nostalgic.

i love you, man. (the movie) has got some good rush material in it.
I frequent a few different forums, and it's heartwarming to see a tribute thread to Neil on every single one of them.
Like many of you, RUSH was my favorite band throughout the years, the soundtrack to my life, and I was fortunate enough to see them live a few times. I was able to meet Geddy and Alex on one occasion, but never Neil, and maybe that's for the better.
I did send this album sleeve to the band when they were on their last tour, and they were kind enough to sign it and return it. It will always hang proudly on my spare bedroom's wall, and it usually makes me smile. Thanks for everything, Neil, and peace to your family, including Geddy and Alex who must be hurting right now.
Saw them a few times. Fantastic. Best drummer ever! RIP, Neil. You will be missed.
My best friend and I saw Rush on the opening night of the "Presto" tour.
Incredible band and Peart is far and away the best drummer I ever saw/heard.
Rest in peace.
Saw them in 1978 Oakland Coliseum. Their Xanadu shut the audience down! Neil had so many drums he had to be lowered into his chair by a crane!
I’ve been a fan since my cousin gave me a cassette of Moving Pictures around 1982. It changed my world. Years later I worked at Shoreline Amphitheater, and during the Roll The Bones tour, they were doing the sound check to an empty venue. I walked down to the 3rd row, kicked my feet up and watched them play to only me for about 10 minutes. When I got up to get back to work, I gave them an “I’m not worthy” bow, and Geddy gave me a smile and a nod. While I had a lot of great experiences while working there, this was by far my Rock n Roll highlight. RIP Neil.

love it.
yeah, i've been a RUSH fan.
The plate off my 1972 Camaro from 1981 before it got totalled... by a motorcycle with two guys on it running from the cops and doing 95 down a 40 MPH street... nailed us while turning left properly on a green. The cycle basically blew up..... the Camaro.... bent frame and on fire.. the dudes.. 90 feet down the road.. gone. Lovely story I know.
SNOWDOG... WAS VICTORIOUS !!! (RUSH lyrics)
.
@effe - that's neat. In my post above I thought it was in the 80's I saw them at Alpine (in my head I was thinking late 80's). It was actually 1990 after looking at their tour history.
It's wonderful to see tribute posts to Neil in just about every forum out there, regardless of the forum's theme. It goes to show the impact Neil had on so many lives, on both a musical and a human level.
I used to frequent these forums under the user name of ClockworkAngel, the name of Rush's final album. I guess my membership expired due to inactivity. I was one of those Rush fanatics with a long and personal relationship with the band over the past 30 years. It's been a very difficult week for me, personally as well as the Rush fandom.
Neil's Brain cancer was kept under wraps for 3.5 years. Think about how remarkable that is in this world of social media, selfies, "look at me" posts on facebook, etc. Neil was a notoriously intensive private man who had a very loyal and trusted inner circle. Kudos to that inner circle for honoring Neil the way he wanted and deserved, by letting him live his remaining years on his terms and keeping the fight for his life private.
"Suddenly, you were gone. From all the lives you left your mark upon"
Hi T! Also saddened by Neil's passing.
BTW, looks like your Clockwork account is still here.

Nice to see you back as well. I remember you had some nice cardboard.
