I just got on the Mint's website to order the proof 2020-W Silver Eagle. The website hung for a long time while I was ordering and I kept getting these error pages where I had to hit the refresh button on my computer to somehow get back to my billing page, where my credit card info wasn't showing up because the system was so slow in retrieving it, and then by the time I confirmed my order, this issue had sold out and so I won't get this issue, etc. etc. etc.

Oh wait, I was having a flashback to 8 weeks ago. In reality, I ordered my proof 2020-W Silver Eagle at noon with none of the problems above, things ran smoothly just the way it always should be.

I couldn't help being a little bit ornery here.

    LOL.

Always smooth sailing when the supply is far larger than the demand. Guarantees no distribution issues and also no price appreciation. So, you get the good with the bad.

I've ordered them every year they've been available since 1986, but really, $64.50 for about $18 worth of silver? Since this will most likely be the final year of the design, I've reluctantly placed an order today, but it seems like a good time to end my purchases from the Mint.

I ordered as well but -- still having issues with paying via PP on the Mint site. They also "lost" my stored cc information...had too re-enter.

I ordered the "Congratulations Set" today. Does PCGS need a sealed mint box to prove it really is an ASE from this set?
