    Truly a great set.

It's your call but i say don't forget the inserts. I love those 1965 embossed cards. Very tough to find in high grade especially the #1 Yastremski.

    Good luck! :)

Great set, Love the pennant team names. Raw or graded either way is a win in my book. Good luck.

Baseball or football? They're both excellent.

Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.

I thought about that when seeing the post. However i had to presume it's baseball because when card collectors speak "generically" about sports cards, i think they usually infer baseball. When it's football cards, basketball cards, etc, they usually mention the particular sport for clarity.

But who knows for sure? Collecting a set of each wouldn't be a bad idea. :)

I put the correct wrapper in my binders, too! Looks cool.

I am about to finish a nice ungraded 1965 football set I started over 15 years ago. I have long periods of inactivity and then short flurries of interest or I easily could've done it sooner.

You can buy complete sets, but I prefer to buy groups of cards in ExMt or better condition...keep the best ones for the set while trying to upgrade the lesser condition cards. Then once you get the bulk of the cards from the groups you can try and get the ones you are missing targeting best condition for the best value available. It's much funner than just buying a set somebody else put together, but is time consuming and you end up with many duplicates - which of course can be sold.

My favorite set too! I'm 75 cards away and have been chipping away for probably 7 years now.
