Don't care for that coin at all. But we haven't had anything new in circulation here since the Lowell coin. One single example of the Marianas coin, might have gotten that in St. Louis...

At least Lowell is really nice as well. Reminds me of the Isabella quarter

The Mint's designers mostly think in terms of poster art, not (relatively) small coinage art.

I cannot say that I love it but it is better than some of the recent stuff that's been put out, doesn't have an artistic feel to it imo more like a postcard photo.

Out discing (plowing?) 5 acres at the edge of the ranch tonight. Sunset. Bats flying around EVERYWHERE! Hundreds of them. Probably thousands. Made me think of that coin. I don't like it. Worst U.S. Mint product ever. Bats are gross! No if ands or butts. However....beautiful Southern California sunset over the mountains. Aahh...those Pacific Ocean weather currents in winter! Thank you GOD.
