Yes, correct. Did this set come in a box, such as Spink, or??

Having an 1898 Jubilee design Maundy coin would be quite a trick.

The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.

You are correct! My bad, I can't say I'm as well versed in English Coinage as I should be.

Sadly no box. Just raw from a seller in the UK.

The toning is lovely - a terrific set!

Your photo caused me to notice something I had not seen before: the disparity in the size of the dates. The "1898" on the 4 pence is proportionately much larger than it is on the three pence. The penny and the three pence seem to be one size and the two and four pence a different size.

Something only an OCD coin collector would notice, perhaps...

It's not consistent but my edits are not consistent to the sizes either. I meant to follow their ratios properly but dicked it up. Should be 18mm 16mm 13mm 11mm. Mine are more like 18mm 17mm 14mm 12mm or something similar. I could fix it but I'm not keeping them for long so no chance.
