I'll always be searching for a better example, but this was very nice to buy for free with the rest of my ebay bucks.

Not very super rare but not something you see every day. It's the only attributed 1939 DDO in MS64. I believe this is a generally minor example compared to some photos I've seen, but I'll have to see the piece in hand.

Just gotta eventually find pleasing 1939 1c and 5c in ANACS and we are good.

Edit update: got my 1939 CAC today, couldn't be happier. How lovely.

Got my MS64 NGC CAC today. Sorry for the poor photos I have a new office and gotta fix lighting setups. Kinda neat seeing them side-by-side.

And can someone please clarify? It's my understanding these are "old white ANACS holders", but I see people using both "soapbox" and "soapbar". I thought those two belonged to the NGC holders.

Are they colloquially interchangeable or is there a specific terminology? Because I'd hate to post it wrong in searchable threads. Thank you.

I've seen the terminology mixed up between the 2. But heres a nice list of all 3 tpg generations. Heres the link.....

Yours looks to be an ANACS gen 6. Small holder with 7 digit #.

The Soapbar ANACS are for Hotels and the NGC's are for home!

    My man B)

    Thank you.

It doesn't surprise me that a hobbyist went through the lengths to put something so comprehensive like this together. That's some real dedication.

It has taken me some time but I've started to appreciate them a little more.

Though I do miss getting home from delivering newspapers, running to my room for my magnifier and laying the wealth out before me.. mercury dimes and dated buffalos, barber 10c + 25c, and V nickels! Lots of V nickels, for some reason.

Can you point out the doubling for us? Maybe the photos are not sharp enough, but I'm not picking it up.
