I got this from a friend down in FL and have no idea about these things. Thoughts?

Looks like a challenge coin. Probably go developed by the two parties to give out to people who helped them make their mission happen.

I think it could be argued that all challenge coins are medallions, but in any case I'd call yours a challenge coin.

Its a nice one that ties in a bunch of organizations.

How big is it? Almost looks like a lapel button with the backing removed.

    It’s 2” in diameter

Not that it helps but, I've got three different challenge coins and all three measure slightly different diameters.

Too big for a standard lapel.

It’ll be good for Presidential collectors is my guess.

I don’t give a rats ass if it’s common or not. Wondering what it was and if anybody has interest in this sort of thing because I sure don’t. But if it’s trash I’ll go see how many times I can skip it in the lake by me.

You may rest assured that it is a entirely separate collecting interest from REAL numismatic coins.

First, I'd check eBay to see if there are others identical to it. If there are, then you will find your selling price pretty easily. If there aren't, then you can call it "rare" and try to set your own price. ;)

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

This specific piece has been offered on FB every day for a month by someone claiming affiliation with one of the major political parties.

It's a very well done and attractive challenge coin. I sure wouldn't kick it out of my coin collection.

That coin was to get the rallies going. I'd say it's a challenge coin.

@softparade ....It is a challenge coin...I have an extensive collection of challenge coins (several hundred)...and keep them on display in a four sided, glass enclosure. I do not have that particular one, but it is nice. Cheers, RickO

Before you toss it you might want to put it up on BST, I bet you would get offers if you put a reasonable price. I don’t think it’s one that Donald gave out personally but nice non the less. Just a thought. I have a few one that I had came from the White House gift shop you might want to brows their stock as you might find it there. The prices are inflated but around $40 to $100.00 for junk metal.
