Standing Liberty Quarter 1929-D

I liked the look of this coin. This is a good strike for the date and mintmark. Typical head detail is very flat on Denver '29s. Has a nice original look as well. Let me know what you think.

Once upon a time this was probably in a old white ANACS holder.

As many SLQ's in those pull that exact color toning on the obverse from the label.

That is interesting and I did not realize that. I know the old green PCI holders have toned coins but I was unaware that ANACS holders did this to any degree.

NGC old no line soap bar holders too.

Many of the different older slabs tend to have yielded their own signature hue of colors.

VERY well struck up for a 1929-D. Love the tone and luster of it, too.

Also a coin I own. It's in a an old green PCI holder. It's pretty dark in person. No idea what it looked like prior to being holdered. I am thinking I need to crack this thing out to stop the toning. Also, you need to recognize how strict the old PCI grading was - this 1919 is graded as AU55, no FH designation. I see no wear at all, and I'd call this a FH.
