I am camped out at my son's house in a small town in Northern Colorado. No place to go that would be exciting that is remotely close by, and driving on News Year Eve is not my idea of a good time. I am checking the forum periodically while working on a basement renovation project here. Sipping a little Eagle Rare on the rocks and waiting to see who will still be awake to welcome 2020.
11:00PM here - one hour to go until 2020.
Just got back from "moonlighting" at the mint.
Rebuilt my engraving spindle (put new bearings in) and re-started an over-night engraving job.
So at least I accomplished something. I guess that not only makes me a "coin nerd", but also a dedicated coin nerd.
The only "losers" in my book are the ones that waste the evening in a staggering wasted condition.
Seriously! Happy New Year everyone here. This is my first post of the new year! Hopefully, many more to come. Only my Lord knows. If I should be gone, please remember me by my Sig Line. Sorry for being mushy. -joey
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.
My daughter's family went to a New Years eve party with family friends so my wife and I had our youngest grand son over for a "sleep-over" with Pop-Pop and Me-Me.

Count me in. What's really SAD is after I stopped posting here, I got so involved watching a movie that I completely forgot it was New Year's Eve! Then fireworks started going off and for at least a few seconds I still had no clue until the wife came in to say Happy New Year. It was only the third time in my life that I missed the Times Square Ball Drop.
Nice to have a day off today, I slept until 9 AM. Wishing all you "coinheads" a Happy & Prosperous New Year!
No loser here ... I hate going out on New Years Eve. I have not done it for more than a decade. At that time it was a neighborhood party that was within walking distance.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

There’s a lot of people waking up on the bathroom floor this morning. Not us though!
