What is the BIG deal about Brian Bosworth raising the Flag at Seattle!!

DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭

He was one of the BIGGEST bust's ever in the NFL. He played 3 years and his only claim to fame was getting RUN OVER by Bo Jackson!

I thought he was dead ... from the publicity point of view ... I was thinking about what happened to “The Boz” a few days ago.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Watch as he infiltrates an outlaw motorcycle gang, kicks butt, breaks heads, and takes names.

    Brian Bosworth is.....

You must not have seen a Dr Pepper ad in the last couple years. He's all over them.

Unless they identified him as, “The Boz,” in the ads, I would not have recognized him. All I remember is the name and a guy in a football uniform looking for publicity.

I'd say it is because he is easily in the top 10 of the most recognizable names in Seahawks history.

No offense Jon but that is one of the biggest hype/myths ever, he did NOT get “Run over” by Bo Jackson. Bo had an angle on him and hit full force into one of his shoulders. Watch the replay and you will see what I’m talking about

It's just that he thought he was better than he really was and he was supposed to stop BO and instead Bo just knocked him out of the way......I loved it!!

He can raise all the flags in Seattle all he wants as long as he takes down their hypocritical "12th man" banner after that pathetic incident a few years back when their "fans" left the playoff game way too early.

The posted video clip appears to show the helicoptor blowing up from inside the chopper (the blast originates from at or below the floor of the passenger portion of the chopper) before the motorcycle makes contact with the edge of the roof of the chopper.

The special effects wizards and editing crew for that movie were not on the top of their game making that scene in the movie.

I also remember the play where Bo Jackson knocked over The Boz. Interesting that the hype and marketing of The Boz took an even bigger hit than The Boz himself. :)

The Boz's acting was even worse that his playing LB!
