Finally completed

With the purchase of a 1915 Pan Pac I have completed my quest of putting together a complete set of the 50 classic commemorative designs in rattler holders. These, and 86 type coins in rattlers are being offered for sale. For details go to the "Blog" page of the website listed below.

Congratulations on the accomplishment. Commemorative sure look inexpensive now, especially compared to the heights that they reached a few decades ago. Nice ones are still scarce but prices are a fraction now of what they once were. Possibly a good time to buy.

Very nice. Congrats. Are you sure you want to sell now? Premium stuff should do well though.

    Nice set!

I can only imagine the amount of time and effort that it took to put that together.

I would hold onto that for a while.

Great accomplishment! Has this been done before?

It would be great for PCGS to show this off and perhaps do a set of in-slab TrueViews for it :)

My first thought was spam. But those are some super nice type coins.
I guess I’ll let it slide this time. :*

Guys, thanks for the nice comments. I did struggle with the concept of five lots vs. selling individually vs. holding on to them. Bottom line, I am not a spring chicken and would like to free up the money invested in this collection. If the lots don't sell I'll just sell the coins individually. And yes, sparky64, a lot of this is advertisement for the upcoming sale.

Not sure if you're glowing about your cool achievement, sad you're selling or just advertising a sale.

I have no problem with this.
This is a monumental set. While generic rattler commems may be available, completing any defined set in rattlers is extrordinatley difficult.
Trying to put together any set in rattlers now that they are 30 some years out of production is very impressive.

And there comes a time to sell for everyone. This should be one of the few instances where the collection is worth more than the individual pieces.

    Thank you for the reply.
I've really enjoyed looking over the coins on your blog site.
The variety paired with the eye appeal is superb.

I can understand why you struggled with your decision as to what to do with such a great collection.
I also sincerely wish you all the best with the sale.

Congratulations on an extraordinary accomplishment. Very nice coins... I wish you the best of luck with the sale, though it saddens me to see such a set broken up - as I am sure it saddens you to part with them. Cheers, RickO
