This penny looks pretty good for its age. It probably spent a few decades in a coin jar.

    Quite a few "unc" cents from this era have been turning up lately. The late 1950's and early 1960's were a period of widespread hoarding of rolls and bags of coins. The people who hoarded those coins in the hope of big profits that never came (that market crashed in 1964 and never recovered) are now passing from the scene and the heirs are dumping the coins back into circulation.

    Keep looking and don't be surprised if you find other dates from this era. They make good album coins.
