They can start by looking for anyone who recently showed up at the hospital with a hernia.
But in all seriousness, I hope they are caught and prosecuted.

Ninety bars at 100ounces out of someones house!
Holy Crap!
Woof 9,000 ounces at $17.00/0z = $150,000+
Wonder how the thieves knew the victim had the stash
Were they serialized bars?
If so did the owners keep a record of theses serial numbers?
I don't know. I just reposted an email I got from a dealer friend of mine. It's his client.
Not enough information to allow us to be any help. Unless someone shows up selling 90 bars.
Must be generic.
sad,
bob
Wow.... what a haul...They were obviously targeted....I hope the bars were serialized and we can get the numbers. Not that I think any will end up out here in the East, but the internet provides many outlets...Cheers, RickO
It will unfortunately be untraceable if the bars are remelted

The most expensive (and heavy) game of Jenga!
@Kliao ....True, if melted....However, that will also reduce the value - of course, since it is stolen property, all value is profit. Cheers, RickO
Well, that wealth wasn't preserved,
those dollars were not rescued

Inside job? Usually lots of suspects.

OMG !!!
Must have been an inside job unless the TV was stolen too!
I live near the Santa Cruz area, and trust me there are no criminal masterminds around here. It’s some low level street scum that will try to dump them for us cheaply and as quickly as they can. The odds of it as being recovered is actually pretty good.
