My first true black and white cameo DMPL Morgan

I usually like the toners in this series, but it's hard to dislike a nice untoned DMPL.

DMPL Morgans always look better with some contrast, and this coin definitely has that. The mirrors are what you would call very watery and very reflective. This 1883-CC grades MS-64 DMPL.

A couple of these coins that are 66 DMPLs are seen with slight amounts of frost near the portrait not polished just as this one is showing

Well it's back to eBay to find some that aren't 25% above PCGS price guide...
I can remember a time when prices in the guide were a lot more than anyone would expect to pay, now it's a baseline to price up from.

Maybe after the holidays and prices will be more realistic.
