Order in Assembly FOR 3 WEEKS!

It's a small pack order that's been at PSA well over 4 months. Called PSA last week...customer service couldn't tell me why it is taking so long. Still waiting for some transparency from someone at PSA as to why they continue to post "100+" days as the average wait time on packs. Never seen a calculator that displays 100+ when calculating an average.

Getting close to 5 months on a couple packs I have in with a group. I'm in just deal with it mode. This isn't going away as the way I see it the hobby is growing and especially pack collecting.

Will be 7-8 months for packs in the near future I'm afraid... all while raising prices.

4+ months is actually pretty quick turnaround these days. Don't forget only Steve reviews each pack and with unopened on fire and people jumping on the bandwagon, I bet submission volume is higher than ever. I'd rather they take their time and do it right...if my packs are back within 6 months, I'm happy.

I am hoping to get the 4 packs that I just sent in back mid summer June-July. They just got logged and are in research ID stage. Agree with Tim (grote15) in regards to taking longer to make sure they get it right. My first pack submissions and hoping to get a minimum of 8's.

Just found out my 40 day dual submission is averaging 92 business days.

An order of mine that was logged on 5/21 has been in Assembly stage for about 3 months now w/o moving on to QA/QC...

It looks like the reality is we just can't use the turn around time we were used to a few years ago for a basis of expectation on current or future orders. I have several other pending subs that are taking a longer time than before too. When I send a sub in, I am resolved to the fact that I won't be seeing grades pop for at least 6 months, but probably longer. If I sent them in expecting to get results 90 calendar days or less like had been possible in the past, then it would be nothing but disappointment, so it makes more sense to be aware of the potential duration. I've heard BGS takes a year or more to process bulk orders, so if we get bulk non-expedited orders back from PSA in less than that time, I suppose they are still relatively fast-tracked.

I wish they had a bulk submission for packs... under $59 value with a 12 month turn time. The huge number of mid-to-late 80s packs being sent in nowadays is mind boggling... and likely clogging up the system. Surely someone other than Steve can authenticate 88 Topps wax? :p

so you guys are perfectly ok with waiting about 0.7% of your lifespan to get your cards back? I'm certainly not! And until we start seeing orders pop and ship out on a Saturday, nobody at PSA can say they care enough to do any better.

I've had grades pop on a Saturday as well as late at night during the week. They have a second shift and also work on Saturday's.

I don't know whether or not they actually ship on Saturday but they do work overtime. Just because the posted hours are M-F 7-5 doesn't mean they don't work overtime. The company I work for has stated hours but certain areas indeed work overtime on a daily basis, including Saturdays.
If you have talked to customer service and they have "expedited" the order that's all they can do on that end. My suggestion to you is to contact them after the order pops and see if you can get a voucher. In my experience, they have been good about giving those when a sub goes well past expected turnaround times.

as I stated in another thread, we can only hope that the increase in grading fees is going towards hiring additional qualified graders...6 months to a year to get cards/packs graded is "out there" -- we used to get bulk subs done in a month or 2...if the number of subs has risen that dramatically, which I think we can agree it has, then PSA has to grow with that increase in subs, which means additional graders...no other way around it, as I see it....as with any company, you start the new graders on the "easier" types of submissions, and when they have proven they do good work, they can also do some more difficult subs...but this problem (and it is a problem) will not go away without additional graders...I know I am curious to know if that is going to happen or not, as I am sure many others are as well...Amazon, and other service companies, take measures if they find themselves falling way behind in getting things out the door...

I left packs at the National back on July 31st and they just moved to grading on Monday. Was told 4 months when I subbed them, and as of today I am at 130+ days. Don’t have a huge need for them but would like to get them soon. I will buy graded cards and packs but can’t see sending anything to PSA in the future with this type of service. If you can’t provide what the customer pays for you need to change something - service, quality, process... If they had competition they would lose business quickly.
