This $1 Gold coin has extremely pronounced clash marks on both sides. It also has what I think is damage on the reverse on the reef which took most of the "R" in "dollar" out. Just curious, is this seen much on genuine gold dollars? Is it common? Ir maybe it's the result of the coin being so thin that the images show they the coin to the other side and they really aren't clash marks. Thanks!

It looks like a die clash... However, you need an expert on these to check it out... I am sure someone will jump in soon.. Cheers, RickO

    Is it straight graded?

This coin is raw and I bought it raw. It does test good on my Sigma Pro (it's not easy to get a reading on these small, thin coins lol!) and I've compared it to images on PCGS. Curious if it's worth it to send it in to be slabbed?

It is not just The R of dollar. The lower right on reverse is damaged or struck through something.
