Opened a Mint-Sewn $25 Bag of '99-P Connecticut Quarters
Recently bought a $25 bag of 1999 CT Quarters and went through them. There were some pleasantly toned coins in hues of blues and purples, it was nice to see naturally toned state quarters given all of the AT junk on ebay.
In addition there were a ton of die cracks and what I believe are a few strike thrus. I'm neither a CRH nor an error collector, so this is uncharted territory for me. Is there any numismatic value to these, or are they all spenders? Photos below.
No die cracks = 59 coins
^one of these with possible strike-thru over '1' in 1788
Obverse die crack under mintmark = 22 coins
Obverse die crack thru 'E' in QUARTER and reverse die crack under designer initials = 19 coins
^one of these w/strike-thru above tree, one with possible strike-thru over '9' in 1999

Thank you for any input.

Most look to be what you describe them as. In that regard they are a great training tool.
There might be a small premium for the most extreme examples and I'd definitely keep or sell those on ebay.
As the error gets smaller you'll have a tougher time getting any premium.
And good photos that show what you are seeing.
Those are pretty neat @P0CKETCHANGE.
There is always a niche market for errors the problem is finding buyers.
Here’s a link to some of the errors found for these coins and possible values but is there still a demand to support the premiums?

I like this post a lot. You found cool coins, took great images and described them quite well. These are a cool find.

Try putting some of the errors on the BST and see if there are any takers. This is a cheap way to find out if there is any demand for this type of thing.
Excellent, your error identification, photographs and indicators clearly show all of us what you have found. Cheers, RickO
