Having difficulties trying to grade this coin. I seen there were billions made but hard to find in decent shape. Help appreciated!

Value wise, it's only worth face, but it would make a great addition to your date and mintmark Lincoln set if you don't already have a nicer one

Going through many rolls of cents, I have seen many of these...I personally return them back into circulation.

Strictly spending money. You need to become much more selective with common date material such as this. Because cents don't circulate like they did many decades ago many survive in high circulated grades. They are out there and it may take a bit of time to find them, but they are out there. However, common date coins like this in AU command no numismatic premium. They are OK as coin folder fillers but that is about all.

Agreed. Additionally, many survive in uncirculated condition, as well and often, they can be had at little or no premium over face value.

This is where the enjoyment comes in.

I built my Memorial Cent collection strictly out of Cents from circulation, replacing coins with better grades as I found them.

I never had so much "fun" in my collecting life.

Same here. Except mine was wheat cents. Found them all but the 14-D. I love that set. You know what I mean. Also collected two complete Jefferson sets from circulation. There is something satisfying about that. No matter the grade.
