Just roughly, where would sales go through the roof. Or at least "up?
Assume coins you really like. And assume the present market is the start point.

Ah great.... published before I could go any further.
Maybe that's a ....sign....
I think US Coins at or near bottom but not rushing out buy them.
However if they ever mine that asteroid newly discovered mostly metal from proto planet core which they say has lots gold that could go to zilch for gold coins (see story on google news). One day somebody will mine it and flood market with more gold than humanity can handle. It’s just a matter of time....no telling what kind of riches out there in the belt.
@topstuf. My head might not be on the same wavelength as your here, but...
I don't think there is a 'blanket' percentage discount to noticeably bump sales.
For me, purchases are coin specific - and it also greatly depends on how much money is burning a hole in my pocket.
Also, dealers tend to have a minimum mark-up, and how the coin dealer typically initially prices his stuff would be a major factor in the level of necessary discount to make the inventory more exciting.
@Cougar1978 By the time we get out there to the Asteroid Belt, there might be 50 times as many humans too. Lots of unknowns. But I personally won't see it, and I doubt my kid will see it either.
I'm sure they're priced accordingly ahead of time to account for an anticipated discount.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Discounts don’t always bump sales especially if they broke or simply not have interest.
There are times in the online store I dropped an item to bid plus 10pct or cost plus $5 and it sold immediately but that’s blowout not profitable operation. Other times it had no effect.
All the gold on any asteroid will have no effect on rarity.
I could see it if maybe the dealer got a good deal or if you are a good buyer from them
~~~~I like big discounts, I cannot lie,
You other brothers can't deny,
That when a dealer walks in and puts
A round thing in your face...
At a discount that makes your heart race,
My money comes out and we are out of that place.~~~~
The End is Near!!! Ricko is rapping (or busting some flow, or whatever). LOL.
Hmm... Where is the 50% option
$10 Indians in the $350-$400 range would be nice. Regards!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
Sir Rick's a lot! LOL
Now, is a pretty good time to be a buyer, if @ricko is rapping about it!!!
Didn't sticker.
LOL!
For me, price alone does not make a coin irresistible. The important criteria for me is whether the type/year/mint-mark is something I'm looking for, and if the quality is at least equal to what I am accepting for the collection where it would go.
My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.
I'd be thrilled if pre-1808 US type coins in the good to very fine range dropped 20-50%
" irresistible " .... buy one and take off 65% on second coin.
Why did @amwldcoin get banned?
Also, 15+% would have me looking much harder around ebay
Collector, occasional seller
Well, it will on the rarity of gold. And with common date $20s having pretty much zero numismatic premium, their price goes as the gold price.
I would guess the CAC thread...it's always the CAC thread.
Common date $20’s aren’t rare.
Most coins aren't rare.
Yea, scarce will have to do. Common date $20’s aren’t scarce.
Including the recent RP ASE. Peeps dropping $1K for $17 bux worth of modern silver. I can't even begin to comprehend it.
If too big of a discount is offered, it was probably overpriced to begin with.
