Anyone else having this problem?

PerryHallPerryHall Posts: 45,443 ✭✭✭✭✭

It used to be when you click on a coin picture you would get an expanded view. This feature is particularly useful when viewing a coin on the BST Forum. It no longer works for me. Anyone else having this problem? Sorry if this has already been discussed in another thread. We certainly don't want to pile on our hosts.

In some cases, it may depend on the image size that was originally uploaded.

Testing 1..2..3..... This is a hi-res photo and should be "clickable".

The coin photos that both @JohnnyCache and @MS70 posted were clickable and expandable.

Funny enough, I can't expand my own pictures though I know I should be able to.
I tried several different pics too.
I use chrome mostly but it also doesn't work in explorer.

@JohnnyCache has just added two more coins and they are both clickable and expandable as well. The third coin cannot be expanded by very much, but I think that is the nature of the beast.

P.S. another coin was just added - a Liberty Seated Half - and it is also clickable and expandable.

Yet another issue on the site. This week has been glitchy in a few areas

I have been under the impression (probably wrong) that the expandable feature was a user selectable option... However, recently, I have not been able to expand any that I have tried....so could be a software glitch during the recent update. Cheers, RickO

That works for me too, though previously I never had to do that.

    Thanks grip.

You can't beat the expandable feature...

That doesn't work for me. When I right click, "view image" isn't one of the options that pops up.

On my version of Chrome I right click and then "View image in new tab" . When you click the new tab you can expand the image.

I used to left click on the image (.jpg) and the image would enlarge. Now you have to right click the image and left click "open image in new tab". Just an added step.

@PerryHall Another thing you can do, which I use all the time, is to setup a short cut on your desktop to the Magnify program available within ms windows which is filed under \windows\system32\magnify
It allows you to quickly blow up anything

I've tried all the gyrations suggested here and I still can't expand a pic. :#

I cannot expand the image by left clicking on it as before, but can if I right click and select view image. It adds another, rather annoying, step.

I would recommend trying firefox. In my experience I prefer it over chrome or microsoft edge.

@PerryHall What happens when you right click the image? What menu items appear?
