Sort of OT, but there are coin scammers too.......

Received this email today - trying to sell an antique organ my son practiced on when he lived at home. I called his bluff by asking for a PayPal payment as others were interested in the organ - "first payer gets it". I'm glad he has a conscience - not sure his friend does as I got a similar email today with the same scam - cashiers check, 1/3 for the organ, the remainder to be forwarded to the shipper.
I can't do this.I'm really sorry for wasting your time.My intentions was to scam you by asking to make out the payment for the Organ with a cashiers check, which will be double the price and tell you it was a mistake,and then ask you to send the rest money to me by posing as a shipping firm that will come pick up the Organ...
My name is (deleted) and i live in Africa..A friend talked me into it and gave me access to the internet at a cyber cafe few miles from my house when i met him for help with some money just so i can put a food on the table for my siblings and my mother who's not having her best of health right now..He told me to search for people on the internet that wants to sell their musical instrument and let him know once i find one who would be willing to accept a cashiers check for payment..I saw the way he was living well,and even foes have made life easier for themselves in this part of the world that I live in with the kind of scam,and i was just trying to make life easy for me and my siblings.I want to be able to do things for them that will not make them become of a victim of this system.And this is not saying the system is totally responsible for what many young people in my country and in some other parts of the world have become.It is greed,covetousness and the complexity of want.But it is also poverty,lack and hunger.i just can't do this because of my conscience,and i know it's right to ask than to steal from someone....
I hope you can forgive me.

Ya' don't say.
+++++++++++++++++++++!!!!!!
Sounds like he switched from scamming to begging.
LOL!
Variation of the scam...
I get several scam emails a week.... My record week was nine.... all different...but all really the same. Millions of dollars offered, send my your information (banking, SS#, DOB, address etc.).... I actually got one by snail mail in the '90's, before it became a big email based scam... I once thought of collecting them and writing a book...Never took it beyond the thought stage though.
