I'm visiting a friend in Lititz Pennsylvania.
I noticed this in a small local museum.
I was thinking how neat it would be to find something like this knowing that it was dropped there in the 18th century. I think there's something especially cool about old coins that have a story behind them like this.
I hope you guys can see the photos.
I haven't posted photos on this forum in a long time. I'm not sure how to do it so that they just show up normally in the body of the message.

Great story and a very nice 1795 large cent.
Stories like this make me want to be especially careful when I renovate my office!
That’s cool!
Here you go:
Fascinating post. Thank you for sharing.
I found this on Google Maps:
It would be the grey house with the rocking chairs.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Very nice S-75 Cent with the buried top of the five.
Can't tell from the pics, but appears to be a die
state II, or III. Good condition for an old piece.

NIce looking old cent an a great back story!
Thanks very much for the comments folks and thanks for posting the pictures correctly.
it's really cool because we are visiting the actual location where it was found today.
I was just thinking of how incredibly much fun it would have been to have actually been the one to find it knowing that it had been there for around 200 years having been originally dropped by someone so long ago.
This notation was also next to the coin...
Nice!
Great story! Thanks!
Cool story!
Very cool!
Such a find would be amazing.... and there are buildings in this area where I live that are that old....I have often wished I could MD the walls and floors in those houses. Cheers, RickO
