The Official Dealer Asking Price 2019 S Enhanced Proof Silver Eagle Thread

cameonut2011cameonut2011 Posts: 10,062 ✭✭✭✭✭

The title is meant tongue in cheek, but seriously... What are dealers asking for these? Bourse floor, print, or online? I'm trying to get a consensus on what the retail market is (off eBay).

$65.95 + shipping. Unfortunately they're out at that price. :(

People point to the 95-W as the hallmark, but there always seem to be a lot in dealer hands, and I'm guessing, hoarder/investor. I still wonder what the true collector market for something this selling for $600-$800-$1,000. I'm just fine with my set not having one (and I don't have or want a 95-W).

Pride of Nation's is a 2019-W Enhanced RP, not 2019-S.

I want to see where this one plateaus at in a couple months to years. BTW, who even remembers the 2019 W ERP at this point, and that was only a couple of months ago?

Yeah, I remember that one. Aren't there five or six or seven different ASEs this year? The regular uncirculated one, the W proof, the S proof, the W burnished, the enhanced, the W RP, the S RP, the the the Oooops, something went wrong. Refresh.

Actually I've sold 8 of them this week. The new coin has really increased interest in the 2019-W which is also among the 10 scariest eagles at 110k mintage

Did spellcheck change scarcest to scariest?? That's funny. So, is this new coin the scariest of all now?

It is scary in a way... sell now or hold out. I don't want to leave money on the table, but don't want to play numismatic musical chairs and be stuck if the music stops either.

I don't know, if you buy a $70 coin and flip it for $500, why would you second guess that later unless you're Scrooge McDuck?

The coin was $65. Unlike the other precious metals where the quick flip was necessary just to get that $2k off their credit cards, I think most people can handle this one. No real pressure to sell quickly.
    Take your time, folks.
I think this one has legs

Let us see what will happen, it is hardly a plateau yet. I am obviously not a flipper and will not feed into it (other than responses on this board), and am glad to have a single specimen.
BTW, I just don't see this matching the price of the 95W even if that price subsides some more.

I guess I don't care too much for the absolute frenzy and self-serving comments that come up on these releases.

Also, I believe the collector base for these is quite a bit smaller than most think. It exists, but not at huge numbers. Even me, who is a mint "slave" has given up to some degree on the series except the scarcer ones, and so did not even bother with the satin specimen of this year or last, or the common ordinary proof "W" coins.

And just think what will happen when you can get the cert slabbed separately.

Did a quick price check on eBay of the 2019-s enhanced proof ASE.

PF70 seem to be in $1,900 range
PF69 seem to be about $950 range

    I'm actually quite surprised!
