Have not seen one. Is the diameter the same as a reeded edged dime? Is the weight correct?

  • Same diameter as receded dime feels heavier but haven't weighed it

    Welcome to the Forum!

I have seen this on quarter's and Half's before on coins used in Slot Machines over and over, rounds the reeding smooth.

    No error, post mint damage.

Sorry, but it's damage that occurred after it left the mint. There are a number of things that could have happened to it, but none of them during the minting process

It was intentionally done. The raised edge comes from rolling the coin. They do this when they are making jewelry or something like that. Post Mint Damage. Worth a dime.

@Plumbob....Welcome aboard.... I agree with the above ....PMD....Post Mint Damage....I have seen it on quarters, and also the occasional dime...though on the dimes, there is usually just a little sign of the edge reeding....Cheers, RickO
