Wife picked up a 1941 Lincoln cent outside a Dunkin today
She has a thing for picking up coins she finds for me. First time it’s been a wheat cent. This will be my favorite. Fun find. Happy Thursday.

Still out there working for 78 years, now to enjoy retirement.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Now that’s a cool find @ThreeCentSilverFL looks to be in good shape for a ground find, too.
Nice find!
Nice find!
KOOL !!!
Maybe you ought to up her allowance.
There is little or no way to 'realize' on these coins, and people are pouring them back into the system. I believe that I have had five wheat cents in my change this month, and the proportion of bronze cents to zincents has run higher too, maybe 1 bronze for every 3 zincs. People save their coins up for a while, and then pour them into the counting machines as the holidays approach.
I believe that older collectors have over many years, stashed away jars and bags of old wheat cents, Jeff nickels, etc.
As they pass on, their heirs realize that these accumulations have little or no resale value.
Having no interest in coins, these heirs dump these coins back into circulation.
I keep all the wheat cents I find in change....four or five a month.... Just because I like the old design...Cheers, RickO
love finding old coins in change and

It was on December 7th, 1941 that 353 Japanese bombers attacked the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, destroying 19 ships, 188 aircraft and killing over 2,000 Americans. It was this act that drove the United States into World War II.
