USPS delivery problems in Chicago...anyone else?

I had a couple of orders, one to 60612, the other to 60617. Both undelivered with some very suspect scan notations. Anyone else experience this? Also got conflicting info from postal clerks at the John Buchanan depot.

I meant problems in the Chicago area specifically.

I’m guessing it’s due to the weather and wouldn’t worry at this point.

As stated above, the weather is messing up flights and other transport sensitive processes....should clear up in a day or two...Cheers, RickO

Had a package take a couple extra days to get to 60615 (from 40 miles away) a week or so ago, but that's it. Another package shipped to the west coast at the same time arrive 2 days earlier. Clerks only help to the extent of a combination of their ability and motivation. You'll have to talk to a supervisor or inspector if you want better information.

Have been sending quite a few out and receiving quite a few things lately in chicago suburbs with no issues.

The PO in the Chicago area is very notorious for slow or lost mail. Its pretty much common knowledge here in Illinois. I usually have a dim opinion of postal employees, with the exception of the carriers, as overpaid and underworked. Where I am based, in a small town in downstate Illinois, they actually close for lunch, which I think is stupid, and open for only two hours on Saturdays, which is ridiculous. On a personal note - I think about them, among the other government agencies, when I file my federal income taxes every year, and you can guess why. Enough said from me.
