Keep in mind Garrett had his helmet ON the entire time. Yes his helmet was getting punched and kicked during the entire Donnybrook, no he didn’t get hurt. Was he justified in fighting back? Absolutely 100% but to use a helmet as a weapon to strike a guy without a helmet on the head was over the top. Those are FACTS. Nice write up though 👍👍
Fact the Browns are unable to control themselves , they take a zillion stupid penalties , turn the ball over a ton and have a terrible coach . They have talent but they are mentally retarded and shoot themselves in both feet repeatedly
@Keets, I am glad you got to go to such a memorable game. Hope you and your son had fun.
I have read everyone's comments. Love this forum and all the participation.
I watched the video a few times with replays. Even showed my wife. She walks past me as I watch games, no interest in sitting, but she loves the fights for some reason.
I might as well give my thoughts.
Rudolph didn't like the way Garrett tackled him. As far as I know, if it ended there Garrett should have gotten 15 yards. But it was the end of the game, so if I was a Browns fan I would have loved it.
If Garrett had not retaliated at all, Rudolph would still have been ejected but not suspended. And Rudolph would have looked like the jerk after not playing well.
Garrett reacted the way he did because of Rudolph's initiation, AND because he was unable to control his cool. But swinging the helmet was the over the top crazy moment. It is not only seriously against the rules, but it violates all of the unwritten rules that the NFL players have between one another. They are supposed to be a brotherhood and not try to end the other person's career with a move outside the scope of football play like that.
Pouncey did what you want your O lineman to do for your QB. I always look for Brady's O line to come to his defense-but not with a punch. A shove goes a long way and can usually not cost the team too much. But it was egregious and deserving of multi game suspension IMO.
I have a saying that I repeat often, it's actually a joke-line from a comedian --- While I don't encourage domestic violence, I know what turns Mr. Hand into Mr. Fist.
if you try to kick me in the balls, all bets are off. go watch the video again. Myles Garrett was wrong but Mason Rudolph got what he asked for and deserved.
this will all be revisited in a few weeks when the Browns play in Pittsburgh. I hope they break little pussy-boy in half. legally and without a helmet, of course. he deserves it.

Garrett tackled Rudolph three full seconds after the ball was thrown - and then didn't get up. If he got kicked in the nuts, he had it coming.
After seeing the video, I would say THIS is the correct statement. The entire fiasco was started by a flagrant roughing the passer penalty. NOT by the QB who got sacked.
I have no loyalty towards either team. Smashing a guy over the head with a helmet is indefensible. What would you be saying if the blow had seriously injured or even killed the QB?
That's probably what it is going to take before people take things like this seriously.

Garrett tackled Rudolph three full seconds after the ball was thrown
and that, my friend, is almost the biggest load of bullcrap that has been posted at this site. it is a laughable defense. the actual truth, if it really even matters anymore, is that Garrett was within a step of Rudolph when he threw the ball, then he wrapped him up and took him to the ground. watch the video below and tell me, if the "sack" was so egregious why was no flag thrown?? the way they protect the QB's now is so ridiculous that if Garrett had hit him at your fantastical three seconds after he passed the ball there would have been laundry on the field before they hit the ground.
let's face it, down 21-7 with less than two minutes to play the Steelers were sacked on three consecutive plays. Tomlin had no reason to keep trying to pass and put anyone at risk, he needed to have his pussy-boy Rudolph take a knee and get into the locker room.

Clearly you didn't watch the video you posted. If you had, you'd have done what I did - measured the time from Rudolph throwing the ball to him getting tackled. 3 seconds. Not 3 seconds to first contact. 3 seconds until the tackle.

This I agree with. Especially since Cleveland was blitzing.

These browns act like bengals , brain dead . They won the game and they still cant control themselves .
The Bengals are the new Browns
Yeah...what the hell. Quarterbacks are the money guys, so it goes.

Ok Keets, you had me until that line.
That game sounds more like a preview of the next Terminator movie.
Again 😂😂😂

The browns played most of that game like they had just hired vontez burfict as an assistant coach

I will add that the Official was right there.
