Congrats if it was you... I got beat last second by the dreaded snipe :'(

I really would have liked to add this to my collection.
These are scarce to find this nice come up for sale as a true auction.

When I see circulated CC pocket change, I can't help but think my Great grandparents may have carried that coin and spent it somewhere in Carson...

It was not I, although I'd be proud to own it.

It looks pretty nice, but I wonder if maybe the fields were scrubbed at one point and then toned over.
Hard to tell with a single photo.

I wonder as well but am inclined to think from the photos that it's just light circulation. I wish It was on it's way to me in the mail so I could view it in hand.

Am I seeing a clash? Obverse right breast just after a quick look.

My interpretation of the photos indicates a pretty harsh cleaning at some point. As has been said, it's hard to know for sure from a photo.

If I had seen that one, it would have been a clash of the snipers.....which I usually win.... ;) However, I was busy with my visiting Daughters (one from Maine, one from North Carolina) and a Grand Daughter... Cheers, RickO

My first reaction also was cleaned. So, maybe you did just fine!
