Ebay payment reminder question

I am not the biggest Ebay guru, so I thought this might be a good place to pose this question. I put in an offer on an item using the "make offer" feature. The offer was accepted at 7:21am and then I received a payment reminder from the seller at 10:06pm...14 hours and change after my offer was accepted.
I am not a deadbeat. I have a feedback in the few hundreds at 100%. I won't lie. It irritated me to get a payment reminder so soon. I don't live on Ebay.
Do you guys think the seller was being a bit of a jerk? Or, do you guys see this from time to time?

Some bill reminders are set to be automated. I would NOT take it personal.

I too get irritated at some of the reminders. Of course I am a crabby old man. Some are chosen by the seller. Ebay always waited about a week before you were considered a "slow payer", now many sellers expect immediate payment (and then take a week to mail your item %#$%$#).
I do think that when you make a best offer and it gets accepted, the seller has a bit more of an expectation of a fast payment. Possibly 24 hours would be my minimum and probably more like 48. People do not live on ebay! Well, some of us don't, anyway.
Last year I bought a very low dollar card and instead of paying immediately as I usually do, I waited, and the seller opened a non payment case against me (after 4 days). I paid immediately and sent a message to the seller that I was unhappy with that. His response was that ebay did it, not him (I have listed items and I believe you get to decide if you want the non payer case opened automatically after 4 days, something I would NEVER do). Very curt reply from seller. The card also didn't arrive very quickly, but was nicely packaged. After some thought, I gave the seller a negative. The seller contacted me and was MAD. Had the seller been a little nicer about my complaint, I would not have "negged" him.
Different transactions, but I was raised to take good care of the customer. That seems to be a thing of the past.
When I get irritated, I usually chew on the sofa.
