I love daylight savings time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I do think that it is the natural time. I like working in the orange grove in the dark this time of year. Very invigorating! Might be the Scot- Irish in me but the cold and dark suits me just fine.
@EagleEye .....You are so right.... I lived in AZ for eight years and loved it.... also, was just out in Scottsdale for two weeks visiting a friend....It was beautiful...good food, good wine, good friend. Cheers, RickO
Southern Arizona IS nice .....but just like Southern California, how much sunshine does one man need? Never spent any time sipping wine with the Snowbirds in Scottsdale but I have done the chasing beeves around Wickenburg thing. In July. Believe me....those boys could use a little shade in the late afternoon. Nothing worse than the Southern Arizona sunshine for the working man. Hey, boss........ "Anything open up around Seligman, Ashfork, Flagstaff?"
P.S. The lovely Mrs. Hydrants mother spent her childhood years picking cotton around Casa Grande. Daylight savings time would have been a blessing for that child. Some people work outside. Think about it.

When the temps are in in hundies, it is nice to have the sun set at 7:30. Leaves time to head to the store, take a nice walk or kibbitz with the neighbors.

Please, friends. Correct me if I'm wrong. ........Turning the clock FOWARD in the Spring is unnatural. Turning the clock BACK in the Fall returns everything to it's natural order. Tell me I'm wrong. I'm waiting..................crickets.........
I like whatever gives me sunlight the latest. Actually I think I dislike the transitions. I should move to Alaska.

Standard time is normal time. DST is the government switch.
Lower latitudes--Arizona and Hawaii--don't need as much adjustment given that the daylight hours vary less throughout the year.
The closer you are to the equator, the less time is gained or lost depending on the season.
So if you want "normal" time, that's Standard. It's closer to actual solar time throughout the year. Moving to year round DST would be a bigger deviation from actual solar time. And for folks further up north, it would mean sunrises in winter well after 8am. Which when it's cold and snowy could be a bit of an issue.
I don't mind the switch, it's never bothered me. If we--all the states--move to one time, that would be fine and consistent. Problem I always see is most people want to stay on one time, but they can't agree on Standard or DST. FUN!
GSAs, OBW rolls, Seated, Walkers. Anything old and Colorado-focused, CO nationals.
I don't have to change my clock, just have to adjust my off set to mainland time zones from 3 to 6 hours ahead of me back to 2 to 5 hours. I have a slight preference for Standard Time. Daylight Saving is artificial and makes me get up earlier to interact with the "lower 48". Either way would be OK, pick one and stick with it. If there were a nation wide vote I'd be in favor of abolishing Daylight Saving Time.

Being in Arizona, you don't have to worry about that.
I only have one timepiece that doesn't self set, and I hate DST so much that I refuse to change the time on it....
Oh, it's my alarm clock.
We might not have that problem too much longer in Tennessee either! But for now, roll 'em back!
Reset your cameras, if anyone still has one.

Well sort of Rick. I have a La Crosse atomic wall clock that has to be reset from Pacific to Mountain.

7:30 is the summer. About 5:30 in the winter.
One can scrape frost of the car on a december morning.

I believe you have to move the dial instead of the hands to adjust for daylight savings.
