Rare Token Census

Given how many different R9 and R8 token types exist, has there ever been an effort to do a condition census for all these rare tokens?

I've run across a lot of R8 and R9 tokens but rarely do they have provenances / pedigrees.

    There’s too many to make a project like that practical, I think. It might be possible to do it for one particular type of token with a relatively narrow focus.

    Any type of census of tokens/coins, unless extremely rare (ten or less) would be very subjective, since so many exist and even in the hands of only casual or even non-collectors. Cheers, RickO
