Naw, just a major struck thru error coin.
Struck through grease, I think. So much of the coin legend is gone... feels like a token instead of coin.
The Reagan Dollar has a very poorly designed portrait.
The error actually looks better than the "normal" coins.

Most of the designs are forgettable at best. A few were decent, but one that really stood out for me was James Monroe. Personally, I really like that one and it still seems like the odd man out to me - a design that is very different from the rest (in a good way).
That is what happens when you mandate a huge volume of designs. There is only so much time or concern when you have to crank out almost two dozen designs a year, between the dollars, quarter, and commemoratives.
